We do not ask for your inbox
Some apps want to read your whole inbox. Others want you to set up forwarding rules for certain words. Neither of those makes your life lighter. One takes everything. The other is one more thing to set up, keep working, and worry about having missed something.
Not everything from school is a date. Some of it is about money. Some of it is about your child in particular. Some of it is nobody's business but yours. That part stays yours.
Symplano only ever sees what you hand it, one thing at a time. You saw it, you sent it, that is the whole system.
And when Symplano reads it, it is never told who your children are. Your children's names are never sent to the AI. Working out which event belongs to which child happens separately, in Symplano's own code.

What is Symplano?
Symplano is a UK family organiser app for parents of school-aged children. It shows what each child needs to wear, what they need to bring and what is on today, and it takes school messages you send it and pulls out the dates, so only the part about your own child reaches you. It is on Android.
How do I stop forgetting non-uniform days?
Set the day once in Symplano and it tells you every morning whether today is uniform, non-uniform or a kit day, before you leave the house. Non-uniform days mentioned in a newsletter get picked up when you send the newsletter in.
Does Symplano only work with email?
No. Symplano takes anything with text in it. An email, a PDF newsletter, a page from the school website, or something from the class group chat. Share it to Symplano, or copy the text and Symplano will spot it when you switch over and ask if you want it added. Photos of paper letters are coming soon.
Does Symplano read my email inbox?
No. Symplano does not connect to your inbox and does not ask you to set up forwarding. You send it one thing at a time, so it only ever sees what you choose to give it. Everything else from school, including anything personal or about money, stays private to you.
Is there an app that keeps track of school letters and newsletters?
Yes. Symplano turns school messages you send it into dated events and shows each parent only the part about their own child, so you are not reading the whole school's news to find your child's two lines.
How does Symplano know which events belong to which child?
You set up each child with their school and year group, and Symplano matches events to them from what the message says. Your children's names are never sent to the AI. That matching happens separately, in Symplano's own code.
How much does Symplano cost?
Symplano is free for everyone until 30 September 2026. After that it is £6.99 per month or £59.99 per year. The first 100 people to create a Symplano account keep a founders rate of £4.99 per month for as long as their subscription stays active. The founders rate is counted by order of account creation and closes once 100 accounts have been created. It applies to the monthly plan only and is personal to the account holder.
