Download and Sign Up

Download Symplano from the App Store or Google Play, then create your account with your email address.

Add Your Children

Set up profiles for each of your children including their names, schools, and year groups. This helps our AI understand which events relate to which child.

Share School Messages

When you receive school emails, WhatsApp messages, or newsletters, simply share them with Symplano. Our AI will extract important dates and create reminders for you.

How does the AI understand school messages?

Our AI is trained specifically on UK school communications. It recognizes common patterns like "PE kit needed", "non-uniform day", "parents evening", and extracts the relevant dates and requirements. It gets smarter over time as it learns from your school's specific language.

Is my family's data secure?

Yes, absolutely. We use bank-level encryption to protect your data. School messages are only processed to extract scheduling information and are not stored permanently. Your family calendar is private and only visible to people you invite.

Can I use Symplano for multiple children?

Yes! Symplano is designed for families with multiple children. You can add unlimited children to your account, and the app will organize events by child with color-coding to keep everything clear.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

You can always edit or delete any events the AI creates. Over time, it learns from your corrections and becomes more accurate. You're always in control of your family's schedule.

How much does Symplano cost?

Symplano costs £6.99/month or £69/year for unlimited children and up to 3 family members. We also have an early bird special for the first 100 families at £4.99/month for life. All plans include a 14-day free trial.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from the app settings. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Your data will be kept for 30 days in case you change your mind.

Troubleshooting

Solutions to common technical issues

App won't sync between devices

• Make sure you're signed in with the same account on both devices

• Check your internet connection

• Try force-closing and reopening the app

• Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed

Not receiving notifications

• Check notification permissions in your phone's Settings app

• Make sure notifications are enabled in Symplano's settings

• Check if Do Not Disturb mode is turned on

• Try turning notifications off and on again in the app

AI not understanding messages

• Make sure the message contains clear dates and event information

• Try sharing the message again if it didn't process correctly

• You can manually create events if the AI misses something

• The AI learns over time and gets better with your school's language

Family member can't join

• Check that the invitation email hasn't gone to spam

• Make sure they're using the correct email address

• Try resending the invitation from your family settings

• Ensure they have the Symplano app installed
